For Beginners aged 7-11
Intro to Game Design with Scratch
Skill Samurai’s award-winning Scratch coding courses provide a solid foundation for younger learners who are new to coding and game design. Kids make exciting games using Scratch’s visual block coding language, while gaining the skills they’ll need to make the jump to text-based coding.
In this course, you will learn the basics of how to use the Scratch website and start your journey to be a pro game designer! Your adventure starts here! What skills will you hone? Will you choose to become a Front-End Mage, focused on graphical design, or will you be more of a Back-End Ranger, focused on logic, or even a Full-Stack Warrior, jack-of-all-trades? Regardless of what the journey lays ahead, this is where you start. Develop your programming skills and level up!
Students will complete multiple animations and video game projects.
This camp is a fun mix of online and offline activities. In the afternoon students will work on STEM construction projects in teams.
